The basic rule

Pokémon Champions uses its own rule set — fixed 32 IVs and 66 total stat points (32 max per stat) — instead of the mainline series' EV system. Without room for the fine-grained 252-point tuning of the mainline games, the allocation patterns stay simple, but which stat gets which points still defines a Pokémon's whole role.

The basic physical attacker

32 Attack / 32 Speed is the most common split (64 points total, with the remaining 2 usually going toward bulk). Check the speed tier chart to see where your neutral Speed lands — if it's not near the top, consider leaning toward HP instead of Speed.

The basic special attacker

32 Sp. Atk / 32 Speed is the standard split here too. Since special moves aren't affected by burn, special attackers often deal damage more consistently than physical ones, which is why they can afford to keep a little more bulk without losing much offensive pressure.

The basic bulky wall

32 HP / 32 Defense, or 32 HP / 32 Sp. Def, are the standard walling splits. If you want to shore up both sides, lock in 32 HP first and split the remaining 34 points between Defense and Sp. Def. When building a defensive cycle, check whether the opponent's main threats are physical or special before deciding the split.

Speed-tuning instead of maxing Speed

Rather than maxing Speed at 32 (neutral nature), it's often worth only putting in exactly enough points to out-speed (or intentionally under-speed) a specific target, and putting the rest into bulk — a technique called Speed tuning. Try adjusting points one at a time on the damage calculator and compare against the actual Speed stat of whoever you're trying to outrun.

When in doubt, use all 66 points

Bringing a Pokémon to battle with unspent points is pure waste, so always use the full 66. If you're not sure how to split them, the safest default is 32 in your main attacking stat, 32 in Speed, and the leftover 2 into HP.
